Is equality really....

I answered a question today...

The question was not the issue, but it got me to thinking about how I feel about people searching for equality by pointing out how different and better one is against another. I don't believe that anyone is the best, or better. Shouldn't we teach Jesus' love instead of OT hate? Which only stemmed from hating the sin and not the sinner. Hate was actually just God telling us not to do something, and then people did it. Same with our children. If I tell my children not to do something, and they do, they will get a time out. That's why Jesus came. Stop using the old testament genocide against Christianity. The first Christiansweren't even founded or called that until the New Testament. Where this all began. When the apostles were praised for being holier, they ripped their clothes off in dispute. Gays, straights, religions....all looking for equality when we are all at each other about what our differences are. No One should hate anyone. John 3:17 says that Jesus came to save, NOT to condemn. No one is righteous. That gives us each the equality we are looking for. Everyone looking for equality then stop fighting altogether and practice what you preach.

Gays should have equal rights too!

And are fighting for it. The handful of radicals that continue to be as different as possible just take away from that equality battle to prove a point. Any group has radicals, and as far as this particular group of people, this is just the most recent battle. No different than when women were burning bra's in an outrage to get pulled out of the kitchen and into the workforce.

Why should they be able to push it into my face?

Why do you have the human right to be who you are out loud, but no one else? The ones who are "pushing it into your face" are the ones terrified, angry, and hurt. The ones who have hidden behind fear and force for so long that they have snapped. Or are YOU the only one with pain? When did empathy die? Yes, the old ability to care about someone. Instead, everyone is outraged with everyone else. We are who we are! Let's love each other. That's in the Bible!

Men have done it for years....

Same thing with women being equal to men by dressing provocatively and sleeping around. Come on really? You hate men for being like that and having that ability. The ability given to them by generations of abuse to women who would likely turn over in their beaten graves to see women exploiting themselves and calling it equal. We don't have to do this to each other. You do not have to behave like a savage to be equal to someone given that status by forcefully taking it. And now look what we've done to our children. We are equal because we are different than them, only now they can't beat us down anymore?? Women didn't fight for the equal right to be half dressed and promiscuous. Women wanted the equal right to vote, to work, to be seen and hold positions of authority and office in society. Are we Looking for the same?

Blacks hate whites, whites hate blacks, no browns allowed.....

I never have met or known anyone who owned a slave. At least not a black one. Or a white one. White people held themselves as slaves for generations in Europe. I don't believe I have heard too much about the white people who fought to free blacks, or blacks that fought alongside their white brothers in arms to dismantle such egregious behavior against those who imposed it upon others. Essentially, we are doing this to ourselves. We are so angry, we just want someone to bear the brunt of it. We breed hate into our children and into our society just to have something to fight about and be angry.

OH no she didn't!!

Why? You don't see it?

I see it everywhere. Not just from one side, but from all. It's like a hate suffocation. There. That's what we all have in common. There is our evasive equality, in the hate and contempt we hold for one another we find common ground. Instead of loving each other and exhorting our brothers and sisters.

Life doesn't pick favorites!

It just sucks for everyone sometimes. More at times than others. The Bible holds a lot that angers people. It also says to bear your cross and push against a hateful world, hateful to all. To love and to hold one another as we would like to be held. We will never find true equality until we remember that we are all hurting, we are all human, and we are all in need of something or someone.

"Don't take life too seriously, no one gets out alive!"

At least we could have each other to go down with!
